June 2011 “Stang of the Month”
Donna Weimorts 2011 Convertible

It’s Kona Blue, because it’s Pretty!!!  Just a 6 cylinder, because I don’t need speed!  And, besides it’s definitely got nice cup holders.  ;-)

We had a Boss 429 Mustang being restored when we joined the Inland Empire Mustang Club.  As a result we never had a Mustang to drive on tours with the club.  In an effort to shut me up, Greg, my boyfriend decided to buy me a little white  1966 Mustang coupe. Unfortunately I am vertically challenged and couldn’t get the clutch all the way down to the floor.   The block of wood just wasn’t doing it for me and certainly didn’t add to the car, so we decided to replace it with an automatic.

We looked for cars and found a really nice looking 69 convertible but it was sold.  That was the beginning of the search for a convertible rather than a coupe.  We looked at several,  but I was holding out for what I called “Pretty!”  I saw a 2005 Convertible that was white and jokingly said “now that’s pretty!”   After a short discussion, older Mustangs became a thing of the past and we were now looking for newer cars.

As soon as we saw this little gem we both knew it was the one.  It’s definitely “Pretty!” Christmas came early for me in 2010 and I couldn’t be happier!

Donna’s car was one of the five mustangs featured by our club at this years Spokane Auto Boat Speed Show.  Donna was the proud recipient of a first place trophy and was also a big help setting up the IEMC display that received the award for the best club display.  Way to go Donna!
